iQ Credit Union Raises $50,000 During Spirit Week

Annual campaign supports new Rood Family Pavilion at OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital

Vancouver, Wash. — iQ Credit Union staff, members, and community partners are pleased to have raised $50,000 for OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital as part of iQ’s annual Spirit Week in 2019. Each year during this special week, iQ employees donate to participate in themed dress-up days like Tropical Tuesday or Look-alike Friday. iQ also receives strong participation from members and community partners through in-branch and online donations.

“This is an amazing accomplishment and I am so proud of all who contributed,” said iQ’s Chief Executive Officer Kelly Schrader. “I want to thank everyone that supported this mission. Together we absolutely made a difference in our community.”

All money contributions are used to fund the new Rood Family Pavilion—a home-away-from-home for numerous Doernbecher patients and their families who travel significant distances to receive critical care.

“iQ Credit Union employees have taken fundraising in our community to the next level,” added Executive Director Sadie Williams of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation. “In just seven days, iQ employees banded together to raise $50,000 to support children and families staying at the Rood Family Pavilion—a home-away-from-home for families who must travel to Portland for treatment at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This creative campaign has united our community to help ensure that families can heal together during one of the toughest times.”
